Causer Announces State Planning Grants

HARRISBURG – Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) today announced two state planning grants totaling more than $95,000 have been awarded in McKean County.

The county government will receive $36,165 to update its Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, while the City of Bradford Office of Economic and Community Development will receive $59,540 to update the Tuna Valley Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan. The plan involves the city of Bradford, as well as Bradford Township and Lewis Run Borough.

“I appreciate the commitment by county officials and the Bradford economic development office to best position our region for growth and opportunity,” Causer said. “This is a worthwhile investment in our future.”

The funding was awarded through Pennsylvania’s Municipal Assistance Program (MAP), administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development. MAP funding can be used to provide technical assistance to municipalities and other eligible applicants for activities including community planning and implementation.
