Causer to Offer Property Tax/Rent Rebate Assistance
January 15, 2026
BRADFORD – Applications for the 2025 Property Tax/Rent Rebate program are now open, and Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) is reminding area residents that free assistance is available through his office.
The program benefits eligible residents 65 years and older; widows and widowers 50 years and older; and people with disabilities 18 years and older. The income limit for this year is $48,110 for both homeowners and renters; be sure to exclude 50% of Social Security or railroad retirement income. The maximum rebate is $1,000.
“Rebates of several hundred dollars up to as much as $1,000 are a huge help for senior citizens and people with disabilities who may be struggling to keep up with day-to-day costs while also paying their rent or property taxes,” Causer said. “The income limit increased again this year, so I encourage anyone who thinks they may be eligible for the program to contact our offices, and we will be happy to help.”
In addition to offering assistance at the Bradford, Coudersport and Kane legislative offices, Causer has also scheduled a series of Property Tax/Rent Rebate clinics across the area. The schedule is as follows:
